Year 2 School Trip to SS Great Britain February 2022

In Year Two we are learning all about Isambard Kingdom Brunel, so on Thursday we went on a trip to see the SS Great Britain in Bristol!

We had a tour of the ship and saw lots of interesting things, including the engine, kitchen and the first class dining room. We also had fun in the ship’s classroom, we were told lots of facts about the ship and saw some pictures. We then went under the water and had a look at the bottom of the ship and even helped to build parts of it using different tools!

Next, we attended the launch party of the SS Great Britain in 1843! We all got dressed up and waved our flags. We all really enjoyed the day.
