Happy Friday Year 5!
Some of Heron class may remember today's Friday fact from when we were still at school, however, it ties in really well with our new English topic! Did you know: When the platypus was first encountered by Europeans in 1798, a pelt and sketch were sent back to Great Britain by Captain John Hunter. British scientists' initial hunch was that the attributes were a hoax!
There is a special Friday treat for you below! A member of Heron class has made a very special Lego quiz for you all, click the link below if you would like to give it a go, the answers are at the bottom of the page. You could ask your parents for help if you are finding it a bit of a struggle. Why not record your score in the back of your book to share with your classmates when you are eventually back in school?
Have a lovely weekend everyone,
Mr Chislett and Mrs Swarbrick
