Hello Year 5,
We hope you are all keeping well. Hopefully you enjoyed the new story which you have been studying in English, I might have to be more careful next time it is wet play, I hate tarantulas! The maths work for this week is week 2, remember to look at the 'Maths- Objectives Week 2' document if you are not sure which lesson you should be doing.
I hope that you enjoyed having a read of some of the poems and short stories in ‘The Book of Hopes’. My favourite poem was ‘The Hope-o-potamus’ by Greg James and Chris Smith (Page 135)! For those keen readers amongst you there is a library of over 20 free ebooks available at: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/ if your parents are happy to create an account for you. Once you have done this you can sort the books by age groups to find the kind of book that you would most like to read!
Have a fantastic week everyone and keep those lovely pictures coming in. If you haven't looked at the homework share star yet, go and have a look to see how all of your friends are doing!
Keep up the hard work,
Mr Chislett and Mrs Swarbrick
