Hello Swans and Herons,
I hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather we had last week. Whilst it is sunny, make sure you are getting outside and getting some fresh air if possible but remember to wear suncream!
There is going to be a bit of a change with the English and maths over the next few weeks as we will be trying out some new topics, to make sure your brains are being stretched. These will be slowly introduced and you are all more than capable of completing the work. For the maths, make sure you watch the videos as they are very useful to understanding how to complete the questions! The instructions are below, and the objectives tell you which lessons to do on the website. The English is all explained each day, we will just be working with a new text. If there are any issues, then please email us any questions.
We are also making a little change to the third lessons you have each day, but these will still be fun tasks to try out. The images you click on each day are a hint at the third lesson you are doing that day! There is our new timetable below if you would like to see it.
It was lovely to hear from some of your parents (and some of you!) last week, if they didn't hear from us last week then they will this week. I am sure you are all working super hard and we are really proud of you all for your effort! Keep it up, well done!
Last thing, a treat for those of you who are looking for something to read. If you follow this link: https://literacytrust.org.uk/family-zone/9-12/book-hopes/ you will find a book called 'The Book of Hopes'. This book is available for free for all of you and is full of short stories, poems and pictures from over 100 children's writers and illustrators! Writers such as Jacqueline Wilson, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Michael Morpurgo have all contributed to this book, I am sure you will all be able to find something which interests you. Happy reading everyone!
We hope you have a fantastic week,
Mr Chislett and Mrs Swarbrick
