Maths

Today's maths lesson is to find fractions of amounts, for example, 1/4 of 36 or 2/5 of 100.

Remember to watch the video first as this will help you to understand what you need to do. Then complete the sheet, either by printing it out, if you are able, or writing the answers into your workbook.

What? Wizards in the news?

Today we are going to write the opening paragraph to a newspaper article, thinking carefully about our When? Who? What? Where? Questions.

Read through page 19 and 20 to give you some ideas.

Next think about some crazy quotes, these are from witnesses who saw the event happen. Remember to use speech punctuation when you write a quote. Read page 21 to recap on the rules for dialogue.
