Maths

In today's maths lesson we are looking at the translation of shapes.

Remember to watch the video first as this will help you to understand what you need to do. Then complete the sheet, either by printing it out, if you are able, or writing the answers into your workbook. For a little extra help, you may find the PowerPoint below useful too.

For an extra challenge, you can also complete the GDS questions below.

English

Today we are going to have some fun writing some nonsense poems!

Follow the link below to the BBC Bitesize website which will guide you through the process of writing your own poem.

Read the information and watch the 'ROAR' video. Then complete Activity 1 to create 3 random subjects to write a nonsense poem about, e.g. A shark, who is afraid of the dark.

Activity 2: Watch the video of Spike Milligan reciting 'Ning Nang Nong' for inspiration to write your own nonsense poem.  If you need some ideas, there are 2 documents below to help you.

Activity 3: OPTIONAL - complete the task about the poem 'Jabberwocky' by Lewis Carroll (1872)
