School Council Team Building Day at Outpost, Broomfield

They children had an action packed day at Outpost. They worked together to cross a pond using crates and planks, worked out the best way to transport an egg on a rocket without it cracking, built dens and learnt how to light a fire. As a team, they first had to plan what they were going to do with the order to which they would do it and the technique, carry out the activity and then evaluate what went well. At the end of the day they sat round the camp fire toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate and said what they had learnt from the day. The children said that they had made new friends and spoken to children they would not normally speak too. It was a highly successful trip and all the children had a fantastic day.
