LO: I can add adverbs to a sentence

An adverb is simply a word that describes a verb (an action or a doing word). For example sadly, excitedly, quietly, worriedly.

 

Today we would like you to:

  1. Read the power point and complete the activities on each slide.
  2. Complete the worksheet by writing out the sentences adding adverbs to make the sentences more interesting.

Maths:

Today's focus is looking at more time vocabulary and the months of the year.

 

LO: I can name and order months of the year.

 

By the end of today's lesson, the key vocabulary we want you to be familiar with is:

  • days, months
  • months of the year
  • month before/ month after
  • calendar month
  • season

 

Today's tasks are:

  1. Look through the Powerpoint.
  2. Complete the worksheet.
  3. Complete the matching game - you need to cut up the squares, turn them over and play pairs with a partner where you match the boxes that are equivalent periods of time. e.g. 1 week = 7 days
  4. Complete reasoning and problem solving questions.

Topic:

 

LO: I can look closely at the coats of the animals and copy their skin pattern.

 

Today we are carrying on with our art unit. You need to look through the powerpoint and then follow the instructions on the powerpoint.

After the lesson you should have 4 different animal skin patterns on a sheet of paper.
