Year 1 have been showing off our learning to our grown-ups! We were excited to demonstrate how we work and how we could learn about out termly topic of Nature Detectives. Our grown-ups helped us to make miniature gardens on paper plates using moss, sand, twigs, and other natural items. We decorated a plant pot and egg box so that we could then use compost and plant a variety of seeds. Some of us planted an awful lot of seeds and will be taking on the Chelsea Flower Show competitors! We used penne, spaghetti and lasagne to make our favourite landmark – the Angel of the North being the most popular! It was a lovely morning and thank you to all who turned up and we were very grateful to those who helped clear up the mess!
