LO: I can write a description of three and use commas and ‘and’ to split three adjectives

An adjective is a describing word (small, yellow, beady, long, round)

You can add three adjectives (3A sentence) to a sentence using a comma (,) and ‘and’ to add interest.

For example, I walked slowly into the deep, dark and dangerous wood.

Read the power point and think of your own adjectives to add to the sentences on the slides.

Activity: Complete the worksheet.

Please complete the arithmetic questions on the attached sheet.

Remember to to pictorially draw:

  • 10s and 1s to help solve addition and subtraction questions
  • arrays to help solve multiplication and division questions.
  • fractions - remember for fractions the bottom number tells you how many groups and the top number tells you how many of the groups you need to count.

We would like you to continue your work on your space rocket building it out of junk items around your house (such as milk bottles, cardboard, egg boxes etc).

Remember you need to complete the following task:

  • Designing - Firstly we would like you to gather up some junk items and then design a rocket based on what you have got. You will need to draw your design on paper and label the various features.
  • Building - Once designed we would like you to start building your rocket. Once built you may decorate it/paint it if you wish.

Enjoy, be creative and please send us photos of your finished rocket!
