English task:
LO: I can use alliteration in my writing
Today we are looking at alliteration and how we can use this in our writing to make it more interesting, exciting and fun!
So, we would like you to look at the PowerPoint on alliteration and then have a go at the sheet below.
For the sheet there are two tasks.
1. Root vegetable alliteration- using the words in the box, write the the name (blue word) and vegetable (black word) to each picture. ensure the name and the vegetable alliterate.
2. For each vegetable can you think of an alliterative sentence. Remember to write in your neatest handwriting.
If you would like further alliteration practice/challenge, take a look at the alliteration zoo powerpoint. Can you think of your own alliterate phrase for an animal for each letter of the alphabet.
Maths:
Our focus today is solving 2 step money problems. This will require you to consolidate all your previous work on money. You may find drawing a bar model helps you identify what is required for a question.
Important: When you complete a question, remember to go back and check you answered the question asked. These are 2 step problems so if you only did one thing, you have only answered half of the question.

Topic:
LO: I can compare materials.
Key question: How can materials be identified and compared for their suitability of a variety of everyday uses?
Using the pictures in the sort the pictures into two groups. One group where the right material has been used for an object and the other group will be the wrong material where the material chosen it not suitable for an object.
Challenge:
Now write about each picture and say why the material chosen is the right material for the object or why it is the wrong material and what would be a more suitable material to use for the object.
