Today we are looking at alphabetical order and the meaning of words.

LO: I discuss the meaning of words

We would like you to complete the following:

1. Look through the powerpoint on alphabetical order 
2. Open the word document below. Look carefully at the list of words. Have all the words been ordered alphabetically? Are there any mistakes? Can you correct these?
3. Next look at the list of words. What type of words are they? (Nouns, adjectives, verbs or adverbs)
4. Finally, choose five words and find out the meaning of the words in a dictionary or on the internet.

Maths:

LO: I can find durations of time.

Today we will  looking at durations of time. We will identify the start and end times of events and then use these times to work out how long an event lasted. This is called the duration.

You need to remember your knowledge of:

1 hour = 60 minutes

1/2 hour = 30 minutes

1/4 hour = 15 minutes

1 minute = 60 seconds

Topic:

This half of term the school value is Forgiveness.

Today we would like you to look at the powerpoint below on being sorry and forgiving someone when they have said sorry. 
 

Task: 

We would like you to think about a time when you had to forgive someone for something they had time or a time when you had to say sorry for something you had done. Then we would like you to write about this and then illustrate your writing with a picture.
