Thursday 14th July

Our Thursday got off to a terrific start with a calm breakfast, two rooms jointly winning the room inspection and then a quick coach trip to Picton Castle and Gardens.

The setting was gorgeous and the day was terrific.  In the shade of the garden and grounds, the children had a chance to see a whole range of different birds and animals, to handle reptiles (including Dave the snake) and a cockroach and to explore the maze.  We ended by watching a terrific display of birds in flight including different falcons, eagles and vultures.

The children then returned in time to apply suncream, get swimming costumes and head down for a paddle in the sea before dinner.  Now the children are showering, ready for dinner.  Soon it will be time to get packed up for the trip tomorrow.
