Hello Year five, 
   We hope you enjoyed your first week in self-isolation and that you all made some incredible dens over the weekend. Remember to send in any pictures of these if you would like them to be shared on the school website, it would be great to see some of what you have been getting up to! 
   We hope you have all enjoyed your English, maths and the other tasks set for you this week. Remember the maths questions and sentences can all be written out into your books so you don’t need to be printing sheets and sheets of work out! Congratulations to Swan class who won the Times Tables Rockstars battle for this week, we would love to see a few more children in Heron class taking part if possible, to make it a close battle. You have a new set of spellings for this week, why don’t you get a family member to test you on the spellings from last week?                                                                              
   In other news, Mango, Zeus and Steve have arrived safe and well in their new home (Isabella Swarbrick’s bedroom) and they are all doing well.  
   Last thing, please can you record any books you have read during this time in the back of your exercise books. There will be a prize for the two children who read the most- no cheating! We will be asking questions about the books you have read when you are back. Mr Chislett has already read two books in this first week!
