Parkfield Primary School

On behalf of all the staff at Parkfield Primary School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2017-18 academic year! I recognise that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. A strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. If there are any problems or concerns please do not hesitate to come in and speak to your child’s class teacher.

I hope you have all managed to read the letter I sent out to you all last week. If you haven’t, please check your emails or if you require a hard copy you will be able to collect one from the school office.

Having seen and spoken with many of you at the school gate, I would just like to take the opportunity again and thank you for making me feel so welcome. I have been very impressed by the atmosphere around the school and overwhelmed with the warm welcome I have received from everybody. It has certainly made my life significantly easier with all the positive conversations that I have had with many of you during this time. I am really looking forward to working with you all in the best interest of all the children at our school.

As I stated in my letter, I am very proud and honoured to have been appointed Headteacher. The school is clearly greatly valued in the local community and I look forward to this exciting challenge and leading Parkfield through its next phase of development. I have one simple aspiration - to work with others to make the school one which all children, parents, staff, governors and the local community are deeply proud of.

Mr G. Jones
