Parkfield School believes in creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for all the children in its care. It supports parents/carers by providing or facilitating access to affordable and convenient wraparound childcare that is child-centred, easily accessible, and responds to the needs of their families.

Parkfield School aims to provide a safe, secure and friendly out-of-school hours environment for children under the supervision of qualified staff.

Swallows club will be open term time only (excluding inset days), Monday to Friday, for those children who attend the school.

Opening and closing times are as follows:

Swallows Morning Club:

• 7.50am - 8.50am 

Swallows Afterschool Club:  

• 3.30pm - 4:30pm
• 3.30pm - 5.30pm
• 3.30pm - 6.00pm 

The following sessions are available for those children who take part in an on-site club/activity:

• 4.30pm - 5.30pm 
• 4.30pm - 6.00pm 

Bookings for Swallows club must be made by Thursday 18:00 of the previous week the childcare is required.

• Places at the club are allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis.
• The advertised price includes the cost of food (breakfast/snack), regardless if your child will be eating or not.
• All sessions must be paid for, including absence and sickness days, and all payment is strictly in advance.
• Attending the club without prior booking will not be permitted.
• The school reserves the right to withdraw the services for repeat non-booking/late booking.
• Charges are subject to review and may be adjusted from time to time to reflect costs.

Extra - Curricular activities at Parkfield Primary School

In addition to our popular Swallows Club, Parkfield Primary School offers a wide range of exciting extra-curricular activities throughout the year. Whether your child is sporty, musical, artistic, or simply enjoys exploring new interests with friends, we aim to provide something for everyone.

These clubs and activities can be booked each term and, where applicable, paid for online via our School Money payment system.

New Parents – Online Booking Platform

For pupils joining the school for the first time, access details for our online booking platform will be provided once your child has started attending school.

The online booking platform allows parents and carers to conveniently manage and pay for a range of school services and activities, including:

• Swallows Wraparound Care Club
• Extracurricular activity clubs
• Educational visits and school trips
• School meals
• Other school events and activities

If you have any questions regarding access to the online booking platform, please contact the school office, who will be happy to assist you.

Please note: If you require your child to attend Swallows Wraparound Care Club during their first few days of starting school, whilst you are awaiting your online booking login details, please contact the school office by email providing the dates and session times required. This will enable us to make the necessary arrangements and ensure that appropriate provision is in place to support your child's smooth transition into school.

We kindly request that all bookings are submitted as early as possible to assist with planning and staffing arrangements.

 

Amendments/changes/cancellations made to any bookings (Clubs/Trips/any School Activity etc.) after the closing date, regardless of the reason, are unfortunately non-refundable.
