Learning Support Advisor

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - to start as soon as possible

Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications and be in the following range:
Scale 15 (FTE £24,027-£24,404)
Actual Salary £17,609-£17,886 pro rata
32.5 hours per week, term time only
Start date: as soon as possible

 

The Role

Parkfield Primary is a successful and welcoming primary school where children are at the heart of everything we do.  We are looking for a new colleague to join our successful school team, who is caring, patient and self-motivated, and has a love of learning and is able to enthuse and inspire children.

The role will include providing to all children as well as supporting children with SEND who have a variety of needs, and will also involve supporting classroom teaching in our reception classes.

If you can provide support to teachers in the learning and personal development of all pupils, including SEND pupils, so all our children can make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them, then we would love to hear from you.

The person

The successful candidates will be able to establish positive relationships with all our children, parents/carers and members of staff and will have:

  • A good standard of education, to GCSE grade C Maths and English together with a qualification relevant to supporting the learning process in school
  • Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting
  • Lots of initiative and the ability to work in a team.
  • A wish to play a full part in the life of the school and uphold our strong values.
