Our wonderful Year 6 pupils led a beautiful Remembrance Service in The Secret Garden yesterday.
Their thoughtful readings, heartfelt letters inspired by Dear Jelly, and carefully crafted clay poppies created a touching tribute to those who served - and to the animals who helped them too ![]()

Next week, our school will be taking part in Road Safety Week 2025, a national campaign to raise awareness about keeping ourselves and others safe on and around the roads. This year’s theme is "Safe Vehicles Save Lives"
We will be joined by Somerset Road Safety, who will deliver a Road Safety workshop. They will cover:
• How to stay safe as pedestrians and cyclists ![]()
![]()
• Why speed matters and how small changes can save lives ![]()
• The importance of being alert and making responsible choices near roads ![]()
Let’s work together to build safer streets and protect every journey. Families are encouraged to continue the conversation at home and help children practise safe habits every day.
Safety starts with us — let’s make it count! ![]()
We’re proud to take part in Anti-Bullying Week - a time to celebrate kindness, respect and inclusion across our school community. This year’s theme is “Power for Good”, and we’ll be exploring how we can all speak up, support one another and stand together against bullying in all its forms.
We will also celebrate Odd Socks Day - pupils and staff will wear their brightest, silliest, most mismatched socks to school to show that it’s okay to be different - and that our differences should be celebrated, not judged.
Let’s make some noise, stand united and show that our school is a place where everyone feels safe, valued and respected ![]()
At school, the children learn about a different composer each week. This helps to broaden the range of musical genres and periods they are exposed to. Recently, the children were asked to come up with some questions they would like to ask a composer and two of our composers of the week, Dr Gareth Churcher and Dr Dobrinka Tabakova sent a video back answering them! Parts of the video have been shared with the children in school. If you would like to view it in full, please see below.
