Phonics - Phase 3 Letters and Sounds

 

Objective: To practise reading, writing and applying the Phase 3 sound 'ear'.

  • Please look at Phase 3 games. 
  • Please choose the Phase 3 sound that you have just learnt when loading a game.
  • Also please practise Phase 3 High Frequency Words by playing 'Tricky Trucks'. 
  • As an extension have a go at writing some of the sounds, words and sentences that you have read from the games.

Literacy - The Three Little Pigs

 

Objective: To step and speak the story

 

In this lesson children will add actions to their telling of the story and step these to help them commit the story to memory.

Mathematics - Grouping and Sharing

 

Objective: Practising counting in equal groups and adding them together

 

In this lesson, we will explore how to create equal groups using concrete and pictorial representations, before adding them together to find the total.

Understanding the World - Growing (Plants)

 

Objective: To sequence the stages of a plant growing

 

In today's lesson, we join Miss Sidenius in finding out the different stages of a plant growing. We learn about what plants need to grow, and finish the lesson by creating a representation of a plant or flower using seeds and beans. You could extend this lesson by trying to recognise different stages of the plant life cycle using plants or flowers in your home. You will need a pens or pencils and seeds/beans/pasta/lentils.
