Objective: Revise ‘ure’ sound.

  2. Read and write words containing ‘ure’: sure, pure, cure, secure, manure, mature (See Phase 3 Sound Buttons PowerPoint)
  3. Read and write sentences containing ‘ure’: Can a vet cure a sad cow? Will a farmyard be full of manure?

Activity: Practise writing 15. Make 15 in different ways, using a range of objects, e.g. 15 cars, 15 daisies, 15 stones etc.

Take a photo and put on Tapestry or stick in workbook.

 

Topic - The Very Hungry Caterpillar

 

At the end of the story the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. Use the Powerpoint below to talk to your parents about the lifecycle of a butterfly and the changes that a caterpillar goes through. Draw pictures or write sentences to explain the different stages of the lifecycle.
