Today, we're going to practise measuring perimeters.
Perimeter is the total length around the edge of a 2D shape.
Go through the White Rose video and then have a go at the worksheet below. Some of the questions suggest using a piece of wool or string. If you are unable to do this, you can just measure the perimeter with a ruler!
This week, we will be recapping some of the spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG) that we learn in Year 3.
Today, we are looking at commonly mistaken homophones. Homophones are words which sound the same (or similar) but have different spellings and meanings.
Go through the PowerPoints to remind yourself of the homophones, then complete the activities either on the sheet or in your blended learning booklets.
Safety Week - Water Safety
This week is Safety Week and each day we will be looking at a different aspect of safety and how to keep ourselves safe.
Today, we are looking at Water Safety. Watch the video on the Water Safety with Liam link, then Spot the Dangers at the Beach. Once you know what some of the dangers are and how to stay safe, read the How to Rescue Someone from Drowning link.
Create a comic strip of how to rescue someone if you see that they are in trouble in the water. You can use the template below or create your own.
