Wednesday 01.04.20

Good morning Year 4, it’s wonderful Wednesday, you’re almost halfway through your second week at home. It’s time to do a little bit of writing. Use the images on the PowerPoint to write two fantastic paragraphs. Follow the five instructions below the image to help you write your paragraph. Each paragraph only needs to be five sentences long, but you can add to this if you wish. Don’t forget to double check your writing for punctuation, sense and spellings before you finish.

LO: I can subtract from a whole. Eg 1 whole or 5/5 - 2/5 = 3/5

More fantastic Fractions!! Please work through the PowerPoint, answering any questions in your workbook.

Then complete the questions on the handout - this can be done into your workbook, copying tables and diagrams as needed, or if you are able, you can print the required page to complete and glue/staple/tape to you book.  The first sheet gives the easiest challenge, the second is Expected level and the third Greater Depth. Choose your challenge! Remember you can do more than one of the levels if you wish.  If, after you have marked against the answers, you are finding it tricky, email us and we will send you some extra practise or check out the 'Maths Support' star where I will add some extra support.

It’s super science time. Today you have a poster to make. Think back to our lessons about states of matter so far (solids, liquids and gases, heating and cooling and investigating gases) and use what you have learnt to design an informative poster. You might want to include some of the following words:

Gas, solid, liquid, particles, vibrate, container, spread, shape, heat, cool, melting, freezing, evaporation, condensation, state, materials, properties, temperature, degrees Celsius, process, water, ice, water vapour, energy, carbon dioxide, weigh.

Make your poster colourful and informative. Have a range of pictures, writing and key words.

Topic - Italian Menu

Your task today is to create a delicious Italian Menu.

Please include 2 starters, 2 mains and two desserts

If possible, include pictures or photos to accompany your menu.
