Today’s lesson is a grammar themed lesson that looks at prefixes. These are a group of letters at the start of a word that change the meaning of the word. For example, the word school changes to the word preschool if you add the prefix ‘pre’. Preschool and school are not the same, therefore the prefix has changed the words meaning.
Note: During the video the teacher will 'set' some spellings, these are not your spellings for this week. The spellings for this week are at the bottom of this week's page. However, you could draw a small icon/picture to help you remember the meaning of each word.
You have the second part of the worksheet to complete this morning, which continues with comparing fractions that are more than 1. These questions are a little bit trickier but remember you can convert the fractions using the hamburger/cheeseburger method!
