MATHS

Welcome to our new maths block which consolidates previous learning about money.

 

For this block, we will be using White Rose Maths Home Learning resources which uses a short video to help you through the learning activities.  Please complete the questions in your home learning book, drawing out tables and diagrams or you may choose to print the sheet and write the answers on the sheet.

Lesson 2 - LO:  How can I keep healthy?

'Health' is defined as keeping your body 'working at its best.'  Staying healthy will help you to feel happier and stronger.

There are lots of things you can do to stay healthy.  Here are some ways of keeping healthy - running, eating healthy foods, having a positive outlook and a good sleep routine.  Can you think of any more?

 

Task:

Answer these questions:

Why is keeping healthy important?

What are other ways to keep healthy?

What sort of things should we eat?

Can you think of any unhealthy foods that people eat?

 

Write 5 more benefits of keeping healthy. Here are some “bonus benefits” to get your started:

Keeping active and eating a healthy balanced diet can

  • help you to build strong bones and teeth;
  • increase your mood making you less anxious;
  • can improve your memory;

 

Now answer these questions:

What does healthy mean?

How can I be healthy?

What changes might I need to make?
