Today’s lesson is another grammar themed lesson which looks at the use of apostrophes and the two occasions when they are used. We have briefly looked at this earlier in the year, so hopefully this will be a useful reminder for a lot of you.
We will be using our knowledge of mixed numbers and improper fractions to add mixed numbers today. There are a few ways to do this, you can either add the wholes and then add your remaining fractions, or make the mixed numbers into improper fractions and then add them together. On the sheet, Teddy and Mo show these two different methods. Be careful, because you may need convert your fractions before adding, as they will need the same denominator before you do this.
