Timetable and weekly tasks

Reading:

Please ensure you are reading at least 10 minutes a day!

This can be your school book, any fiction and non-fiction books you have at home, leaflets, instructions, recipes, comics and magazines.

Alternatively you can try some online resources (Big Cat - see useful web-based resource section on the main Year 1 Home Learning page.)

Spellings:

See the 'Spellings' word document below. Learn the spellings for your group (red/blue/green).
Also, learn two common exception words that you still find tricky.

Maths - Weekly Task:

Practise counting in 10s both forwards from 0 to 120. Then practise counting backwards from 120 to 0.

Once you are confident counting forwards and backwards, start learning your 10 times table.

You can also have a go at the 10 times table song that was included in your home learning pack. Email the class email address if you would like another copy.

Fun Task:

Create a mystery animal and write a few sentences about what it can do, what you would call it and why is it special.

We look forward to seeing/hearing all about your mystery animals. Remember to be descriptive!
