Timetable and weekly tasks

Reading:

Please ensure you are reading at least 10 minutes a day!

This can be your school book, any fiction and non-fiction books you have at home, leaflets, instructions, recipes, comics and magazines.

Alternatively you can try some online resources (Big Cat - see useful web-based resource section on the main Year 1 Home Learning page.)

Spellings:

See the 'Spellings' word document below. Learn the spellings for your group (red/blue/green).

Also, learn two common exception words that you still find tricky.

Numbots challenge:

This week can you pass 15 more levels?

Have you managed to upgrade your robot yet?

If you would like further number bond practice go to the Top Marks website (the link is in the useful web-based resources section of the main Year 1 Home Learning page). Find Hit the Button game, select number bonds and then up to 20. Have fun!

Fun Task 1:

Create a 100th Birthday card for Captain Tom Moore.

Captain Tom Moore is a WW2 vetran who has raised a lot of money for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th Birthday on the 30th April. We thought it would be lovely to send him a birthday card to say Happy 100th Birthday and thank you for raising all that money for our amazing NHS.

Create your birthday card and then send to the address below:

Captain Tom Moore

C/O Post Office Limited

67 Bedford Road

Marston Moretaine

MK43 0LA

Bedfordshire, England

Fun Task 2:

This week's fun task is to design your own flag to represent your family/home. You can do this however you choose, whether it is by drawing, painting, collage, or on a computer.

There is a flag template below, however feel free to draw your own flag outline if you would like.

Please email the class email address with photos of your creations. We look forward to seeing them.
