Please ensure you are reading at least 10 minutes a day!
This can be your school book, any fiction and non-fiction books you have at home, leaflets, instructions, recipes, comics and magazines.
Alternatively you can try some online resources (Big Cat - see useful web-based resource section on the main Year 1 Home Learning page.)
See the 'Spellings' word document below. Learn the spellings for your group (red/blue/green).
Also, learn two common exception words that you still find tricky.
This week we would like you to practice your number bonds to 20.
We have included several activities below that you can complete to help you learn and practice your number bonds. You do not need to do them all, these are just suggested activities.
Also you can play some online games:
1. Hit the Button game - go to the Top Marks website (the link is in the useful web-based resources section of the main Year 1 Home Learning page). Find Hit the Button game, select number bonds and then up to 20.
2. Jungle Maths- Number bonds to 20 - Go to Twinkl and search for Jungle Maths number bonds to 20.
3. Number Bonds Challenge - See link below
This weeks fun task is to create your own giant. You can do this however you choose, whether it is by drawing a picture, writing some sentences describing it, using junk material, or leaves and sticks to create a sculpture of it.
Have fun, and we look forward to seeing all of your creations.
