Thursday 28th January

Over the next few days, we'll be looking at statistics. Today, we'll recap how to make tally charts and draw pictograms. You may recall learning some of this in Year 2. Watch the White Rose videos below and then complete the two worksheets on tally charts and pictograms.

Yesterday, we looked at nouns and verbs.

Today, we would like you to complete the first part of 'The Adjective Game' on pages 11 and 12.

Using the table or your blended learning booklets, write a list of nouns (object, place, person) in the left hand column, then create a list of adjectives to describe these nouns in the right hand column.

You can use the Adjective Mat below to help you.

Think about

  • what is might feel like
  • what is might smell like
  • what is might sound like

Challenge: find exciting synonyms for the adjectives you have found using a thesaurus.

At the end of yesterday's lesson, we left Joseph just as he was sent to prison. Today, we will continue to hear Joseph's story and learn about an important meeting between him and Pharaoh.

Go through the slides on the RE 4 PowerPoint to find out more about your activity.

You can write your answers on the answer cards or in your blended learning packs. Remember to use full sentences!
