Thursday 2.4.2020

English:

Using this sentence starter, plan and write a story.

Suddenly, icy fingers grabbed my arm as I inched through the darkness.

Remember to use capital letters, punctuation, 2A sentences, speech, conjunctions (both subordinating and coordinating), fronted adverbials and powerful verbs.

Maths:

Following on from your learning about "Tenths", please use the supporting PowerPoint to learn how to "Count in Tenths".  Now complete the varied fluency sheets - this can be done into your workbook, copying tables and diagrams as needed or, if you are able, you can print the required page to complete and glue/staple/tape into your book.  The first sheet gives the easiest challenge, the second is Expected level and the third Greater Depth. Choose your challenge!

Remember you can do more than one of the levels if you wish.  If, after you have marked against the answers, you are finding it tricky, email us and we will send you some extra practice.

Science - Plants - Task 5a and 5b

Task 4a

Look at the supporting PowerPoint.

Draw a flowering plant and label each part.  Use a key to explain the function of each part.

Task 4b

Place some celery or a white flower into coloured water.  (The inside of a felt-tip pen works best!)

Take daily photographs to track the changes.
