Welcome to your English home learning for today. Today’s reading comprehension task is based around a famous scientist called Alan Turin. Read the text carefully to see what you can find out about him. Again, please choose the level that you think will best suit you – one star is the easiest and three stars is the most challenging, then you can correct it with the answer sheet.
Challenge: Can you find out any information about another famous British scientist or mathematician. You could research Stephen Hawking, Tim Berners-Lee or someone of your own choice.
We are continuing our learning about decimals.
For this block, we will be using the Whiterose Maths Home Learning resources. There is a short video to take you through the learning activities - the questions can be downloaded here. Complete the questions in your home learning book, drawing out tables and diagrams OR you may choose to print the sheet and complete it straight on to it. If you are looking for an extra challenge, complete the GDS task below or if you would like some more practise, take a look at the extra resources in the 'Maths Support' star.
Week 1 Lesson 4 - LO: Tenths on a number line
I've recently become really inspired by the Joe Wicks workout and have enjoyed taking part each morning.
Your task for today and tomorrow is to design a 15 minute active work out.
Try to think about a range of exercises that can be fun and enjoyable. Think about space needed.
You could test it out as a family and even take some photos!
