Phonics

Objective: Revise ‘er’ sound.

  1. Practise reading and writing sounds: s a t p i n m d g o c k ck e u r h b f ff l ll ss j v w x y z qu sh ch th ng ai ee igh oa oo ar or ur ow oi ear air ure
  2. Read and write words containing ‘er’: her, hammer, letter, supper, dinner, better, summer, farmer, shorter, longer, powder (See Phase 3 Sound Buttons PowerPoint)
  3. Read and write sentences containing ‘er’: I got a letter from a farmer. My ladder was much longer than her ladder. Get a hammer and bang on a nail.

Objective: Learn all about the number 16 with Numberblock Sixteen!

Activity: Practise writing 16. Make 16 in different ways, using a range of objects, e.g. 16 cars, 16 daisies, 16 stones etc.

Take a photo and put on Tapestry or stick in workbook.

 

Topic - The Very Hungry Caterpillar

 

In the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar eats some different foods each day. Can you remember the days of the week? Keep a food diary, recording the different food that you eat each day for one week. You can draw or write the food next to each day.
