Tasks for Wednesday 25th March

English:

 

Quick Task 1: Go on Phonics Play (The link is in the 'Useful web-based resources' section on the Year 1 Home learning page).

Select the 'Buried Treasure' Game. Please go to Phase 3 and play with the 'ear' sound as in 'I hear with my ear'.

If you would like to practice the 'ear' sound more play 'Dragons Den' and 'Picnic on Pluto'.

 

Task 2:  

Today we are looking at using the 'and' conjunction.

Look through the Powerpoint below.

The have a go at joining these 6 sentences below using 'and'.

Remember to write these out using your neatest handwriting.

  1. The giant had a harp.   He had a hen.
  2. The giant had bad teeth.  He had smelly breath.
  3. Castles have moats.  They have a drawbridge.
  4. Jack stole the harp.  He stole the hen.
  5. There are windows in a castle.  There are doors too.
  6. There are huge fish in the castle moat.  They are as big as the Loch Ness Monster.

Maths:

Today we are looking at reasoning and problem solving for ordering and comparing numbers to 100.

Have a go at the three questions on the word document.

PE: Dance

Today we would like you to find your favourite piece of music or song and create a dance to show to another member of your family. 

Perhaps you could teach them your routine.
