Tasks for Tuesday 24th March

English:

Quick task 1 - 3 lines of your handwriting book

 

Our focus today is nouns and adjectives.

Recap:

  • Nouns - are words used for the names of people, places, animals, objects and things.
  • Adjectives - are describing words. They describe the noun in a sentence.

 

Task 2: In each sentence below copy the sentence in your neatest handwriting and circle the nouns and underline the adjectives.

1. The fat mouse ate the smelly cheese.

2. The stripey bumblebee landed on the yellow flower.

3. the slimy slug ate the juicy leaf.

4. The pretty girl smiled.

5. The black dog barked very loudly.

 

Challenge: Write 3 sentences of your own with nouns and adjectives.

Maths:

Today we are looking at ordering and comparing numbers to 100.

History:

 

Look through the powerpoint on the events of the The Great Fire of London.

Then create your own timeline for the 5 days from Sunday 2nd September through to Thursday 6th September.

 

You can do this by drawing pictures or writing the date and description of what happened that day along a timeline.
