Quick task 1 - 3 lines of your handwriting book

 

 

Today we are looking at 'vowels'.

The letters   a   e   i   o   u  are called vowels.

Sometimes a    y   acts as a vowel in words like 'cry' and 'why',

Example Do have some tea.

 

Task 2:

Copy the words below and circle the vowels:

1 cottage

2. seaside

3. woods

4. babies

5. school

6. computer

7. picture

8. doctor

 

Task 3:

For each sentence below count how many vowels there are and write the total down.

  1. Mum and dad take Ted and Sam to the pet shop to pick a pet.
  2. Ted and Sam see a cat at the pet shop having a nap.
  3. It is a big fat cat.
  4. The pet shop man said Ted and Sam can look at the dogs in the back.
  5. Ted and Sam run into the back to look at the dogs.
  6. Dad put Ben the dog on his lap.
  7. Ben took a nap.
  8. The pet shop man said Ted and Sam can look at the rats but Ted said no.
  9. Mum and Dad ask the kids to pick a pet.
  10. Ted and Sam pick Ben the Dog and pet his head.

Yesterday we did Part 1 of the assessment. Today we would like you to try Part 2.

Have a go answering the questions in your book.

 

PE:

There is a wide range of yoga for kids on the internet. In school, we love cosmic yoga!

Today we would love you to join in a yoga session (if possible).

All the cosmic yoga videos are available on YouTube. Just type in Cosmic yoga and a selection will come up.

Our favourite is ‘Twilight the Unicorn of Dreams’! Enjoy and have fun!
