If you would like to practice the 'ir' sound more play 'Buried Treasure' and 'Dragons Den'.

Quick Task 2: You need to stay on phonics play
Go back to Teachers, then select interactive resources and select Phase 5. Then please select 'Tricky Word Trucks' and please practice Phase 5a Tricky words.

Task 3:

Today, you are going to write a conversation between your invented superhero and your invented super-villain using speech bubbles. Remember what the person says goes in the speech bubble. To remind ourselves what speech bubbles look like see the speech bubble template (below).

  •  What could your superhero say?
    • I’ve got you! You’ll never succeed while I am around!
    • This would be in a speech bubble coming out of the superhero's mouth.
  • What could your super-villain respond?
    •  Bah! Foiled again by a pesky superhero and their clever tricks.
    • This would be in a speech bubble coming out of the super-villain's mouth.
  • Remember your sentences would start with a capital letter. You might want to use an exclamation mark instead of a full stop!
  1. In your home learning book we would like you to draw a picture of your superhero with your super-villain.
  2. Think of something they may say to each other.
  3. Draw speech bubbles and write what they would say to each other remembering your punctuation (ABC and ./!)

We would love to see pictures of this piece of work.

Art

The British artist – Andy Goldsworthy – used natural materials to make art and sculptures. We have already made some leaf art, and today we would like you to make a sculpture. If you would like to learn more about what a sculpture is, please go through the PowerPoint below. Here are some ideas of resources you could use to make your sculpture (what you make is entirely up to you):

  • Mud (see document attached for instructions on how to make a mud face)
  • Salt dough/play dough
  • Wire
  • Paper Mache
  • Natural materials (maybe stuck together with mud!)
  • Clay
  • Sand

We look forward to seeing the sculptures you create!
