This week, we are continuing our work on money. Today, we're going to focus on adding money. To do this, you'll need to use your knowledge of counting money, converting money, part-whole models and bar models! Watch the White Rose video to learn more about adding money, then complete the worksheet below.
Over the next two weeks, we will be using a Talk For Writing booklet with a warning tale called 'The Stone Trolls'. We will set a different task each day for you to do. You can either print off the booklet or complete the work using your blended learning booklets.
Please read the 'Introduction' on pages 3 and 4 and 'The Stone Trolls' story on pages 5 and 6.
You can use the Glossary on page 6 to help you with some trickier vocabulary.
Complete the the 'What do words mean?' task on page 7. You can do this on the sheet or in your blended learning booklets. If you find any other words that you are unsure of, you can add these to your table.
Challenge: find synonyms for these words.
Now you know the meanings, write these words in sentences.
Make sure to start your sentences with I SAW A WABAUB (subordinating) conjunctions, and extend your ideas with FANBOYS (coordinating conjunctions). Just like we do in class.
Over the next two weeks, we will be learning about the religion of Judaism.
Today, we're going to look at what Judaism is, where it comes from and who some of its most important figures are. Read through the RE 1 PowerPoint below to find out more about your task.
You can draw your comic strip of Abraham's Promise to God on the comic strip template, on plain paper or in your blended learning booklets.
