Welcome to another week of home learning Woodpecker and Kingfisher children. I do hope you are all keeping safe and well. It’s very strange here at school without you all. I hope you are all having some fun at home as well as keeping up with the home learning.
For English today you have a grammar task. Copy the table into you book and write in a synonym and antonym for the word in the middle. When you have finished, choose five of these words to put into some sentences. Remember to use our Alan Peat features to make them the best they can be, e.g. 2A sentence, 2pair sentence, verb person sentence etc.
Welcome to our new maths block. We will now be learning about decimals.
For this block, we will be using the Whiterose Maths Home Learning resources. There is a short video to take you through the learning activities - the questions can be downloaded here. Complete the questions in your home learning book, drawing out tables and diagrams OR you may choose to print the sheet and complete it straight on to it.
Lesson 1 Week 1- LO: I can recognise tenths and hundredths.
Topic - History
This term we are going to be studying Ancient Greece. This week's activity is designed to take 2 or 3 sessions so plan your work over the next few days.
Your task this week is to research the topic of Ancient Greece - When was this era? Who were the main groups of people? Where were the main cities and what can you find out about them?
Look through the attached PowerPoint and complete the timeline activity - draw the timeline across 2 pages of your work book and add the events from the sheet - if you wish to print the events and stick them in you may.
Add any notes from your research below your timeline.
