For English this week and next week we will be completing another two-week project called ‘Lockdown creative writing unit.’ Each day I will put up which part of the activity you should be on or you can choose how and when to complete the work over the next two weeks. I will attach a booklet for you to work through – don’t worry you don’t need to print this booklet; you can copy anything you need to into your workbook.
In this unit of work, we will write lots of different creative responses to the new lockdown’ situation. Some of us have been going into school and some of us have stayed at home. It’s been a pretty strange time but, in the end, everything will go back to how things were but, hopefully, we’ll all be a bit wiser. Put your pieces of writing together in your writing book. Complete the ‘5 ways to keep yourself amused in lockdown’ activity. This will involve you thinking about things you like to do to keep busy. You are now going to use this list to make a list poem. Sort the items on page 3 into things that are delicate and things that are strong. Read through the poems on page 4 to get you started and write your very own list poem.
Don’t forget you can choose an activity to complete from the Topic Web.
