Today’s maths learning is continuing the topic on area. Our objective for this session is ‘Finding area by counting squares’.
As mentioned on yesterday's zoom, there will be a problem solving and reasoning activity at the EXS level from today. If you are able, we would hope you will be completing 45 minutes to 1 hour of maths per day so if the Whiterose video and sheet takes this amount of time, then you do not need to complete the PSR, unless you wish to of course! The expectation is that the children working within GDS WILL complete your usual GDS sheet.
Please remember to watch the video before completing the sheet as this will help you understand the different representations and question types. If you find it straight forward, then make sure that you challenge yourself with the problem solving questions!
