This week is Children's Mental Health Week and the theme this year is Express Yourself. Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good. It is really important to understand not only how we can look after our physical health, but also our mental health.
Just as we would look after ourselves if we broke our arm, we need to look after ourselves if our mind is not feeling its best or is not making us happy. Talking about how you feel to a trusted adult is a good place to start.
You can also do something you enjoy! Try an activity from the Year 4 Activity Passport attached below.
