French

le 13 juillet

Bonjour la classe.  Ça va? How are you?

I hope you are keeping your French up.

I hope you enjoyed this video clip “Guide to Le Tour de France” in the Video Resource Centre on the school website, which gives a great guide to this incredible race.  Our learning has a Tour de France focus.  You will find some Tour de France facts in the powerpoint with a wordsearch activity. Remember to notice words that look like English words.  Your challenge is to find out what the words listed on the wordsearch mean.  You may need to use, only with permission, Google Translate. Hopefully we will all be able to watch Le Tour de France when it starts le 29 août.

Have you found the French video clips in the Video Resource Centre on the school website?  Go to Chidren, select Video Resource Centre and find the FRENCH: Le Tour de France.

If you have had a birthday Joyeux Anniversaire à toi.

Bon courage,                   Madame Ferguson

Bonjour la classe,

Ça va? How are you?

I hope you are keeping your French up.  Last time, you were practising your French phonics.  I thought you might like a change.  Last Saturday, one of the most famous cycle races should have started Le Tour de France.  But, it had to be postponed until le 29 août.  This time there is a powerpoint which has lots of pictures and facts about this famous bike race.  Your activity is to design a cycle shirt, using your French colour learning.  Remember to spot you in the “peleton” it needs to be bright and eye-catching.  You can also find out about Le Tour de France by watching the clip (Guide to Le Tour de France) in the *VIDEO RESOURCE CENTRE on the school website.

*Go to HOME LEARNING, go right down to the bottom and select Video Resource Centre and find FRENCH: Le Tour de France video clips.

Enjoy this learning.

Bon courage,                  Madame Ferguson

Remember to keep practising airrrrr or eggrrrrrr. This week your sound is “eu”, sound clip attached.  The powerpoint has lots of pictures and sounds to help you learn the sound you need and explore lots of new words that have this sound.  Enjoy this learning.
